dalam pemeliharaanmu maka sekali-kali janganlah kamu mengatakan kepada keduanya perkataan ‘ah’ dan janganlah kamu membentak keduanya.

Dan ucapkanlah kepada keduanya perkataan yang mulia, dan rendahkanlah dirimu terhadap keduanya dengan
penuh kasih sayang dan ucapkanlah, ‘Wahai Tuhanku, sayangilah mereka keduanya, sebagaimana keduanya telah menyayangi aku waktu kecil’,” (QS. Al-Israa’: 23-24)Juga tertulis dalam firman-Nya di surat lain, “Dan sembahlah Allah dan janganlah menyekutukan-Nya dengan sesuatu, dan berbuat baiklah kepada kedua ibu bapak, kepada kaum kerabat, kepada anak-anak yatim, kepada orang-orang miskin, kepada tetangga yang 8.dekat, tetangga yang jauh teman sejawat, ibnu sabil dan hamba sahaya, sesungguhnya Allah tidak menyukai orang-orang yang sombong dan membanggakan dirinya,.” (QS. An-Nisaa’: 36)

Dari kedua ayat tersebut terlihat jelas bahwa bakti kepada orangtua menduduki 9.posisi nomor dua setelah manusia diperintahkan berbakti kepada Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala.
